Britney Spears has signed a 15 million dollar book deal with Simon & Schuster for a tell-all memoir, PEOPLE confirmed. Spears will talk about her career and personal life in the memoir, including her relationship with her family.
However, a representative for Simon & Schuster has not responded to EW’s request for comment, and a representative and lawyer for Spears also gave the same response.
Spears commented on her sister Jamie Lynn Spears’ new memoir in January, which revealed their personal lives growing up. She criticized her sister for being absent while they were growing up and not understanding the true intensity of her conservatorship.
“So why are they even talking about that unless she wants to sell a book at my expense? She never had to work for anything. Everything was always given to her !!!! The last thing I would ever do is ask for what was just given to her !!! So yes, they did ruin my dreams,” Spears wrote in an Instagram post.
Jamie Lynn responded to Spears’ criticisms in an interview on Good Morning America, where she claimed that they were “absolutely not the truth.”
With the tell-all memoir, Spears’ story will be revealed to the world.
