Scott Patsiga, a seasoned leader in Technology Services for 30+ years and father of 2 on the surface, lives a privileged life in Miami, Florida. Scott has made waves throughout his career and has been a visionary in business and his personal endeavors.
Scott shared a unique opportunity to spend a day in his life in Miami, showing some insights into his world and the reasons behind his pivot and focus on personal branding. There was more to the man than meets the eye.
Scott shared that his entire sense of self was sometimes in unhealthy ways intertwined with the Visionary Leadership Corporate Role and success of Telaid. Two years ago, Scott left the day-to-day operations of Telaid and retained his 40% ownership and Board Seat while simultaneously going through a very amicable divorce (although not easy). It took over a year to realize that it was time to pivot and take massive action towards building a personal brand and that social media needed to play a large part in that.
Scott graciously welcomed guests into his high-rise apartment. Over coffee at his dining table, he shared his morning routine, emphasizing his commitment to never allow two bad days in a row. Despite a rough day prior, Scott exuded positivity and resilience, embracing that rule he lives by.
Scott had just returned from his Tuesday “Hammer Ride” on Key Biscayne with Best Buddies Cycling Group. Scott has been involved with supporting Best Buddies for three years now, including the Miami Challenge and many other events and ride camps, all in support of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities.
“There is a direct linkage among self-examination, meditation, and prayer. Taken separately, these practices can bring much relief and benefit. But when they are logically related and interwoven, the result is an unshakable foundation for life.”
Spread across the table were five books, from which he reads excerpts daily, sharing insights with friends and support groups. His daughter, home sick from school, loves Disney princesses and headbands, which add a touch of warmth to the morning.
Moving to a different floor of the building, Scott revealed his “mancave,” where his dedication to cycling became more evident with another five bikes, all built differently for different rides and terrains. What also became clear is his commitment to mindfulness, with a beautiful meditation space taking shape upstairs, adorned with inspirational artwork.
The parking garage showcases Scott’s small fleet of sports cars before heading out to meet individuals Scott supports and guides through life’s challenges. Lunch afterward at Faena provided an opportunity to delve deeper into Scott’s life philosophy. “Progress is perfection,” he mused, emphasizing the importance of continual improvement.
The conversation turned to his vision for personal branding. Scott believes it’s too early to set limits, having already made significant strides in just the past 90 days. From connecting with high-level individuals for a charity bike ride in Scottsdale, Arizona, to facilitating networking opportunities for others, Scott is driven by a desire to create positive change.
Scott demonstrated his belief in the power of authentic connections. He shared his goal of connecting with like-minded individuals and those in need, leveraging his network to leave a lasting impact. Even within a few hours, his commitment to creating opportunities for others shows.
Scott’s journey reflects a blend of business acumen and personal growth. From his transformative role at Telaid Industries as visionary, to his current pursuit of personal passions and brand building, Scott embodies the idea that success is not just about achievements but also about making meaningful connections and inspiring change. As he continues to live his dream life, Scott Patsiga stands as a beacon of resilience, positivity, and endless possibility.
