Christel Guillen’s journey is a testament to the transformative power of passion, resilience, and innovation in the fields of education and community building. Over a span of 17 years, Guillen has navigated various roles, from educator to entrepreneur, leaving an indelible mark on those she has touched along the way.
Guillen’s trajectory began in 2007 when she embarked on her teaching career after being accepted into a fellowship program that enabled her to earn a master’s degree while teaching in an inner-city school in Washington, DC. Her dedication and commitment were evident as she spent a decade within the school system, serving as a special education teacher for six years before transitioning into roles as a teacher trainer, coach, and supervisor for eight years.
However, Guillen’s path took a pivotal turn in 2017 when she realized the limitations of effecting change within a system she deemed broken. Determined to make a greater impact, she ventured into the realm of education consulting for both schools and nonprofit organizations. Simultaneously, she launched “Bliss House,” a wellness education lifestyle brand that fostered community and collaboration among artists and creatives while also delving into the realms of branding, marketing, and technology.
Bliss House, initially a bed and breakfast focused on well-being and creativity, evolved over time into an artist studio co-working space, hosting popular events like the Hump Day Social, which garnered significant attention and participation.
Amidst personal challenges, including a tumultuous divorce and the tragic loss of her son, Guillen found solace and inspiration in live social audio platforms like Clubhouse and X (formerly known as Twitter). Harnessing the power of these platforms, she began offering public online classes on healing and growth, quickly amassing a loyal community of supporters.
In 2023, Guillen’s journey took a technological turn with the discovery of ChatGPT, an AI tool that revolutionized her approach to education. Recognizing the struggle of content creators in developing effective online courses, Guillen created the One Click Course Creator, a prompt template leveraging AI technology. This innovation garnered widespread acclaim, propelling Guillen into the realm of AI marketing and education.
In March, Guillen founded the One Click Creator community, a decentralized hub dedicated to empowering individuals to harness AI for personal and professional growth. Coined as “EduCreators,” members of this community are equipped with the tools and knowledge to monetize their expertise through advanced technology.
Guillen’s vision extends further with the conception of OCC Metaversity, a virtual learning and wellness space aimed at onboarding individuals into the world of advanced technology in a secure and private environment. With the first prototype launched in July, OCC Metaversity has already garnered significant interest, boasting 300 students, 26 Founding EduCreators, and 5 Mentors.
