Daniel Kivo on Channeling His Frustrations to Create a Thriving VA Placement Company

Being a hands-on corporate leader who values excellence comes naturally to talent management and recruitment expert Daniel Kivo. Throughout the time he was working to enhance his skills in his area of expertise, he has seen the importance of being able to recruit the best workers available to advance the goals and vision of any company or organization. However, the reality is that finding the right people to do a very important job can be very challenging. The search can be challenging, and settling for whoever is available can be very frustrating. It is for this reason that he took a risk to establish his own company, Hire VA Now, to ensure his clients that he provides the best possible virtual assistants (VAs) available in the industry. 

Daniel Kivo established Hire VA Now in December 2019 to extend manpower services that would be instrumental in scaling businesses through the exceptional contributions of VAs. Each week, his company receives thousands of applications from freelancers, hoping to join the ever-growing industry. Interviews are done to determine the capacity of applicants, and those who meet the standards are plugged to clients who may have a need for them. Mostly, Daniel and his team look at the skill, attitude, and communication abilities of the applicants. 

From May 2010 until June 2014, he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, as a Human Resource Specialist. It was during his time there that he learned the ropes of training and development. Part of his responsibilities included maintaining record and official publications and assisting in the daily administrative operations of over 15,000 sailors, which included attending to payroll benefits, housing services, and ensuring that their medical benefits were in place. Additionally, Daniel Kivo also handles customer service-related concerns, updating policies, instructions, notices, regulations, and monitoring correspondence. He made sure that tasks were accomplished on time and in an orderly manner. 

After completing his contract with the U.S. Navy, Daniel Kivo finished a bachelor’s in Communication from Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, California. He eventually pursued a master’s degree in Human Resources at Claremont Graduate University. After finishing his graduate degree, he worked as a Talent Manager at Ace Parking, and he was in charge of training and development for Orange County, L.A.

He also did other jobs, including being a sales executive at Showdown Events Company from July 2014 to July 2016 and a recruiter at Link Consulting from August 2016 to September 2017. His vast experience in handling leadership roles in various organizations gave him an in-depth understanding and appreciation of systems, personal development programs, and the importance of innovative tools to make office personnel more efficient and productive. 

Today, Daniel Kivo’s company is one of the most promising and successful talent placement firms in the country. Thanks to his rich experience in human resources, he is producing highly competent, committed, and hardworking people who will impact organizations significantly.
