Often, it’s the famous spots, sights, bars and restaurants that get the most attention. But the city is full of beautiful hidden gems to discover when visiting Miami. There are even locals who might not have discovered some of these fantastic spots off the beaten track.

Obviously, there are many beautiful spots by the water, but one thing that many people don’t know is how many fantastic boat tours you can try while visiting Miami. You can go on an incredible sightseeing Cruise in Miami that’ll take you to all the famous and not-so-famous spots by the water. It’s super easy and will definitely be an experience of a lifetime. You can also take a boat to the tiny Stiltsville, which is a gorgeous little spot featuring seven stilt houses in the water. It’s the perfect hidden gem if you want to get away from the crowds and swim around in a beautiful and historic area.

If you’re interested in art, you should prioritize the PAMM Museum (The Perez Museum of Miami). The museum building by the water is an experience in itself, and inside, you’ll find some of the most interesting contemporary art in the city. You can explore art from all over the world from the 20th and 21st centuries. Any art lover visiting Miami shouldn’t cheat themselves of this experience.

Giralda Plaza

Giralda Plaza is a beautiful, vibrant, yet relaxing square perfect for an afternoon hangout. It’s a must-see hidden gem in Miami. There are lots of great shops and cafés to discover, and it’s close to many other fun Miami attractions. Often, you’ll also find art installations and musical events at the square. Giralda Plaza should definitely make its way to your next Miami itinerary.

Miami Beach Cinematheque

Located in the Miami Beach City Hall building, the charming cinema is an absolute must-visit destination in Miami. The Miami Beach Cinematheque is the best place in South Beach if you’re looking to watch classics and art films. It’s the spot for movie lovers. It’s also an intimate theater with quite a unique atmosphere and seating for only 50 people. You can often find other events here as well, such as various live performances and art exhibitions. 

Wag Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple

Another amazing experience is the Wag Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple. It’s a beautiful Buddhist temple with 5 acres of rural land surrounding it. You get to experience unique Southeast Asian architecture and design while getting a break from the usual pace of life. When you enter the temple, you’ll see a 23-ft-tall golden Buddha. The Buddha was made in Thailand and then transported to Miami. If you’re interested in architecture and culture, you should definitely take a trip to the Wag Buddharangsi Buddhist Temple.

Soundscape Park

Soundscape Park is one of the best places in the city if you want to go for a stroll or take a relaxing break in the sun. It’s a real urban oasis with palm trees and green space. Its unique landscape design makes for a very special setting right next to the New World Symphony. You’ll often find an event like a musical performance or even an art exhibition in the park.

Bayside Marketplace

A real Miami paradise site is the Bayside Marketplace, at least if you like a vibrant environment and shopping. Here, you’ll find lots of shopping, restaurants, bars and live music. There are more than 120 stores for you to discover, so if you’re looking for anything special, this might be the place. Besides the shopping itself, Bayside Marketplace is located beautifully by the waterfront. It’s a place to visit when in Miami, whether you’re looking to go shopping or just get a drink by the waterside.
