Dr. Armin Oskouei founded Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians after identifying what he saw as a gap in the market for patient-centered spine care. A physician double board certified in Interventional Spine and Anesthesiology, Dr. Oskouei wanted to create a practice that prioritized personalized attention alongside advanced treatment options.

“My goal was to create a practice that combined personalized attention, advanced minimally invasive treatments, and faster recovery for patients with spine and sports injuries,” Dr. Oskouei explained.

That vision has resonated with both patients and physicians. The organization now employs over 100 spine and orthopedic specialists and handles more than 60,000 patient visits annually.

“Our lower patient-to-provider ratio sets us apart from other orthopedic practices, allowing for a more thorough evaluation,” said Dr. Oskouei. “Typical hospital orthopedic groups focus on quantity instead of quality. We take the opposite approach.”

This scheduling philosophy allows doctors to spend more time taking medical histories, performing exams, and understanding each patient’s goals and lifestyle. The result is customized treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.

“OSSP emphasizes seeing each patient as an individual rather than a number,” Dr. Oskouei noted. “Our primary focus and goals are to get patients back to their quality of life prior to any type of injury.”

The organization has established strong credibility in sports medicine. Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians has affiliations with professional sports teams and regularly treats both active and retired professional athletes.

“OSSP has had affiliations with professional sports teams and serves athletes of all ages,” Dr. Oskouei noted. “We still treat active and retired professional athletes on a regular basis from these affiliations and reputation in the sports medicine space.”

Beyond professional athletics, the practice serves a diverse patient population including recreational athletes, workers’ compensation cases, and general orthopedic patients.
