Sebastien Ryan is twelve years old, but he carries himself with a sense of purpose rarely found at his age. His debut EP, Vida Mia, arrived on July 21 through NI Music Group and introduced listeners to a young artist who blends Latin pop, bright melodies, and honest emotion with surprising clarity. Paired with a recent interview with Mario Lopez on iHeartRadio, the momentum around Sebastien is steadily growing as more people discover the voice behind the music.
Behind that rising career is a story shaped by resilience. When Sebastien was still taking swimming lessons as a toddler, his mother noticed that something seemed different. His movements were gentler and lacked the same strength as the other children. Trusting her instincts, she sought medical guidance and learned that Sebastien had hypotonia, a condition marked by low muscle tone and limited resistance in the muscles. By the time he turned four, he had begun regular sessions of physical and occupational therapy. These early years taught him patience, discipline, and how to build strength one step at a time.
Those sessions also helped him understand the value of perseverance. As he got older, music became a safe and joyful space for him. He began singing around age seven and quickly discovered that music brought him a sense of balance. Rhythm and melody made him feel expressive and confident. What started as a hobby began to grow into a passion that shaped the way he approached challenges and celebrated milestones.
That same energy fills Vida Mia. Created with producers Eric Johnson and Danny Jay, the EP carries the warmth of Sebastien’s personality and the sincerity of a kid who loves life deeply. The project includes songs like “Magic,” “Mama and Me,” “Baila Baila,” “Birthday,” and the title track “Vida Mia.” Each one reflects a different part of his world. “Mama and Me” honors his closeness with his mother and the support system that has guided him since his early diagnosis. “Baila Baila” feels playful and bright, centered on young love and the simple happiness of dancing with someone special. “Magic” leans into wonder and imagination, while “Birthday” celebrates growth, joy, and the excitement of another year.

Writing and recording these songs gave Sebastien the chance to show listeners who he is without dressing it up or pretending to be older than he is. He wanted every track to feel real and relatable for anyone who listens. The EP’s overall tone mirrors the way he talks about his life. He likes creating music that feels good, reflects the things he cares about, and brings people together.
Outside the studio, Sebastien works hard to stay grounded. He practices karate, which he credits for improving his focus and confidence. He says the training helps him stay calm, determined, and respectful in every area of his life. The balance he gains from martial arts translates directly into his music, especially when he needs to stay motivated or navigate tough days.
Living in Miami has also shaped the way he writes. The bright weather, ocean air, and energy of the city make it easy for him to sit down and come up with new ideas. He finds inspiration in the rhythm of everyday life and in the artists he admires, including Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, and The Weeknd. Their influence encourages him to be versatile and creative while still staying true to his own voice.
Sebastien has also grown comfortable speaking to kids who share their own challenges or special needs. He encourages them to hold onto big dreams even when things feel difficult. He believes that with support, determination, and love for what they do, they can accomplish things they once thought were out of reach. It is a message he carries proudly because he knows firsthand what it means to work through obstacles.
When life becomes overwhelming, he tries to slow down, focus on what is good, and take things one day at a time. Music helps him relax, re-center, and stay connected to what he wants for his future. Even at his age, he carries a sense of direction that feels thoughtful and grounded.
With Vida Mia now released and a major interview on the horizon, Sebastien Ryan is entering an exciting chapter. Guided by creativity, resilience, and a generous heart, he is beginning a journey that feels both promising and deeply personal. He’s also preparing for a special live concert at Educational World Learning Center on February 21, 2026, an exciting milestone that will give people a chance to experience his music in person. Tickets are available now on Eventbrite. His story is still unfolding, but his commitment, talent, and positivity already reveal the makings of a young artist with something meaningful to offer the world.
