Stryker Records Dives into Hip-Hop with the Addition of Drew Lines to The Talent Roster

Hip-hop seems like new territory for Stryker Records, but the company feels that it is now entering into the music category and expanding its talent pool. The new venture has begun with the addition of hip hop artist Drew Lines to the Stryker Records lineup as the company and its new artist look to take the music industry by storm.

Stryker Records is a music label and live event promoter that has been around since 1997. Started by Chris Dobry, the company first set up a base in Green Bay, Wisconsin and built a reputation of promoting some of the best musicians in the state.  Later, Stryker would move its headquarters to Detroit, Michigan, to start networking with more music executives and artists in the area.

Some of the artists that Chris and Stryker Records have promoted live over the years include Saving Abel, The Goo Goo Dolls, Saliva, Trapt, and Rick Monroe, among many others. The record label also collaborated with Holly Hutchinson of AnRGirl to launch it’s artist, Jamie Fontaine and The Level, who’s single “Save your Life” would reach #20 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Indicator chart and #7 on the Concrete/Foundations Chart, respectively.

In the early days, one of Stryker Record’s most significant breaks came after securing an interview on the local CBS station the same night as the Grammy Awards. The opportunity would open up many doors for Chris Dobry and his artists as he started to draw a lot of local and national attention. The company aims to showcase some of the most underappreciated local talents and provide them with a platform to share their music with the world.

Chris Dobry has also done work with Euphoria Productions, mainly around providing support on large music events. The job would expose Dobry to some of the biggest names in country music, including Merle Haggard and John Anderson.

By signing Drew Lines to a contract, Chris hopes to provide more opportunities to undiscovered hip-hop artists in his home area. Drew’s singles have been produced by Malcolm Springer and Scott Wilson at the House of Blues Studios in Nashville, Tennessee. Currently the Drew Lines single “Rise” is on the airwaves throughout the US and Canada and has been serviced to XM radio.

Drew Lines is the first hip-hop artist to be signed by Stryker Records. “With the most recent addition to the Stryker Records Roster, hip-hop artist Drew Lines, we see ourselves experiencing more success in the upcoming years,” Chris Dobry explained. “I see him, along with some of our other artists, becoming very successful as well as opening up chances to expand my roster to include various genres.”

Stryker Records hopes to promote and produce more live music events around the country as America returns to a sense of normalcy since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the globe. Chris remains excited about all the endless possibilities that the company could experience in the coming years. Along with the team at Stryker Records, he remains driven to keep improving in many aspects and bring more value to artists and audiences alike. Learn more about Drew Lines, Stryker Records and Chris Dobry by visiting their Facebook page and website.
