After the original owner moved to Georgia, Emilio and Jimena took over and added new features and upgrades to The Modern Cafe. Emilio Dominguez was consequently named one of US Reporters’ 30 under 30 entrepreneurs for his and Jimena’s outstanding leadership and entrepreneurial spirit. The Modern Rose itself has also won a large collection of awards and accolades, including recognition as the Best Cafe of the City and Best Desserts Place in the City. The shop also boasts five-star ratings across Google, Yelp, Facebook, TripAdvisor, and Uber Eats. Many of the city’s well-known real estate experts, YouTube celebrities, and social media influencers have been spotted on multiple occasions at The Modern Rose.
