The production is owned by Dr. Cassandra Lang, whom Wood also considers a close friend. Her repeated participation illustrates another important part of her journey: the relationships and professional community she has developed alongside her career.
Her fashion experience has also extended into other high-profile events. In 2026, Wood made her second appearance in the Kentucky Derby Fashion Show alongside milliner Evetta Petty, whose work has appeared in major fashion publications, including Vogue. The collaboration brought together runway presentation and the distinctive tradition of statement millinery associated with Derby fashion.
