Miami, a city known for its high fashion and elite runway showcases, has long been missing a dedicated platform for international men’s fashion. This void was spectacularly filled with the debut of Florida Men’s Fashion Week (FMFW), a two-day event that has firmly established Miami as a rising hub for menswear design. FMFW’s unique blend of local and international talent, its celebration of menswear, and its readiness to become a global hub for the industry underscore its significance in Miami’s fashion scene.
A Rooftop Affair to Remember
Hosted on the picturesque rooftop of the GWT Makeup Academy in Miami Beach, FMFW offered an intimate yet world-class setting. Against the stunning backdrop of the city skyline, designers, fashion professionals, and sponsors came together to present their Spring/Summer 2025 collections, reflecting the dynamism of Miami’s evolving fashion identity. The event showcased a diverse lineup of 17 designers worldwide, each bringing their unique interpretation of modern menswear. We would also like to acknowledge Miami Fashion Shows, who contributed a lot to the show through their sponsorship.
Day One: A Celebration of Local and Global Talent
The opening day of FMFW set an electric tone, beginning with the impactful collection of Portuguese designer Victor Mudhe, whose playful and sultry designs made an immediate impression. This was followed by ShivaJothi from Canada, whose minimalist, forward-thinking aesthetic underscored the versatility of menswear, setting the stage for a celebration of local and global talent.
Miami’s talent took center stage through the “Florida Supports Florida” initiative, highlighting local designers Luis Aponte, Barzaga, and Akimota. These showcases underscored the strength of Florida’s homegrown creativity, proving that Miami’s talent pool is as deep as diverse. It was a moment of pride for the local community to see their designers shine on an international platform.
To close the first day, crowd-favorite Idol Jose presented a vibrant and colorful collection infused with Latin flair. His signature show combined passion and precision, leaving the audience spellbound and eager for more.

Day Two: Heritage, Streetwear, and High Couture
Day two delved into a rich tapestry of cultural and stylistic influences. Fort Mosé 1738 paid homage to African heritage through intricate, handcrafted designs, blending history with innovation. Venezuelan brand Delinquents Truly, inspired by Asian aesthetics, brought an edgy, rebellious vibe to the runway.
Exhibit66, a newcomer to the scene, channeled the essence of 90s grunge with streetwear designs inspired by the Nirvana era, resonating deeply with a younger, trend-conscious audience.
The day’s highlight was the debut of Manuel Tiscareno’s first-ever men’s couture collection, crafted exclusively for FMFW. Renowned for his red carpet creations, Tiscareno’s entry into menswear was groundbreaking and meticulously executed, marking a new chapter in his illustrious career.
The global influence continued with Rcano from Mexico, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a showcase of refined, timeless pieces. Valeria Croatto (VAL) added an air of sophistication to the runway with her Italian-crafted leather designs, proving that menswear can be both luxurious and innovative. This global perspective brought a sense of unity and appreciation for fashion to the event.
The event concluded with Juan Castillo, the visionary behind Miami’s trendy The Room Concept Store, presenting standout designs from his curated collection. The finale celebrated Miami’s cutting-edge style, blending local and global inspirations.

A Show-Stopping Performance
Rising Afro-pop artist Guise delivered a live performance featuring a song written exclusively for FMFW to cap off the event. The performance energized the audience and solidified FMFW’s role as not just a fashion event but a cultural experience.
The Power of Collaboration
The success of FMFW was a testament to collaboration and community support. An impressive roster of sponsors, including Nutree Cosmetics, Lova Lux, Gigi Flowers, Fort Lauderdale Fashion Magazine, Art Picnic Catering, All You Need Café, Enke Systems, Olaplex, BodyBra, Vodka Truman, Miami Fashion Shows, and Lillet Blooms & Events Décor, played an essential role in bringing the event to life.
The GWT Makeup Academy hosted the event and provided exceptional makeup artistry that perfectly complemented each designer’s vision. Strategic partner Nomad Creators also played a pivotal role, ensuring the event’s success through expert collaboration and planning.
A Bright Future for FMFW
As Miami cements itself as a city of innovation and creativity, FMFW emerges as a shining example of its potential to influence global fashion. The event has plans to expand, hosting international designers twice a year and strengthening its partnerships with key players in the industry. With its unique blend of local and international talent, FMFW fills a critical gap in Miami’s cultural landscape. The event celebrates menswear and underscores the city’s readiness to become a global hub for the industry.
Miami’s Moment
The inaugural Florida Men’s Fashion Week was more than just a fashion show—it was a statement that Miami is ready to lead, innovate, and inspire. With the proper support, FMFW has the potential to become one of Florida’s largest cultural gatherings and a fixture on the global fashion calendar.
This is just the beginning for FMFW; its future looks as bright as the Miami sun.
