Marc Devisse on Being an Entrepreneurial Genius and How He Gives Back to the Community

With nothing but clear-cut focus on their visions for the future, trailblazers in our communities prove that anyone can achieve what they put their heart and mind into. Working towards the betterment of their ventures and giving back to the community, these individuals prove that there are good people in our society.

One such story is Marc Devisse, an accomplished businessman, philanthropist and adventurer. Starting businesses around the Bonita Springs, Florida neighborhood for more than 15 years, he had multiple startups and ventures, which eventually earned him multiple accolades from distinguished institutions such as Business Observer’s “Forty Under 40” in 2017, SWFL Inc’s Finalist for “Small business of the Year” award in 2017, Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year and Small Business Administration’s Finalist for 2022.

Marc started his Entrepreneurial career back in 2016 on a one-person team. Founding Tri-Town Construction, success was not accessible from the get-go. “I have been in business for almost 20 years with Tri-Town Construction. I started when I was 22 in 2006. We had a great recession, and we survived through it. Then, two and a half years later, we were fined almost $50k for not filling out the proper paperwork with the state. That was hard to come up with and pay off before we were allowed to get back to work.” Mark said in an interview.

Being an Entrepreneur for more than 15 years, Marc has had his fair share of failures and challenges. “We have had many setbacks over the years but always kept persevering. Fast forward to 2019, we spent almost a million dollars on restaurant/bar construction. This construction took eight months, only to have our grand opening on March 17th, 2020, the day COVID-19 shut everything down. [We are] still fighting daily for success by working hard with a team of great staff.”

Marc is a community-loving individual. Planning to run for City Council in Bonita Springs on November 8th, he ensures that he takes action by constantly giving back to his community through multiple charity events, clean-up drives, and hosting community talks through his restaurant, The Seaside Bar and Grill. “I support our community and always give back. I organize beach clean-ups, donations and talks. For example, we just donated about $1,500 to captains for clean water. I’m also an ambassador for real men wear pink, where we hope to raise $20k, and an ambassador for best buddies, where we hope to raise $30k.”

The entrepreneur also values the importance of family. Marc has a 14-year-old son whom he enjoys fishing and playing sports with. He is also about to marry his partner this coming September 30th.

Marc also advocates for the importance of decision-making and proper guidance in business. He holds multiple talks for aspiring entrepreneurs and shares most of the lessons he learned along the way. One of the things he emphasizes is perseverance in figuring things out. “Figure it out! Do not let people tell you “No” and accept it. There is a way to accomplish what you are trying to do. The difference between successful and unsuccessful people is that the first group figures things out.” Marc shares.

Marc has led an extraordinary life, and his story is truly inspirational. Marc Devisse proves that anything is possible if people set their minds. Overcoming adversity to become one of the most successful people in his community is an extraordinary feat, and his story is one that everyone should read about. Marc Devisse is a role model for anyone who wants to achieve their dreams. His story is one of perseverance, determination and success.
