“Power Book III: Raising Kanan” actor Jermaine Rivers officially joins the DCEU’s ranks with a role in the Highly Anticipated Film“Black Adam”

2022 is looking like quite a tremendous year for award-winning actor Jermaine Rivers. As this year winds down to a close, Rivers has a slew of upcoming projects that will inevitably cement his place as one of the breakout stars of the year. The most notable highlight will be his involvement in the highly anticipated DCEU film, “Black Adam”. Rivers joins the film’s star studded cast starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who’s donning the titular role of Black Adam, the DCEU’s most powerful anti-hero. The cast also includes Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Pierce Brosnan (Dr Fate), and Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher.

Rivers has never been one to play it small, or as the industry jargon goes “phone it in” by dulling his performances. That said, it’s almost guaranteed that Jermaine will be bringing his A-game to the screen, adding value to the film’s already meteoric expectations. In fact, “Black Adam” is already projected to break records at the box office and secure its position as one of the biggest films of the decade.

In the past Rivers has starred in superhero genre films and television shows before, but this will be his first-ever appearance in the DCEU. One of Jermaine Rivers’ most notable roles was as Shatter on Marvel’s “The Gifted.” Last year, the talented actor also appeared in one of the MCU’s highly anticipated sequels, “Spider-Man No Way Home,” where he doubled as Jamie Foxx’s Electro, who made a welcomed return to the film franchise.

With roles in both the MCU and DCEU on his resume, Jermaine Rivers joins a short list of actors who have appeared in both of Hollywood’s biggest blockbuster franchises. In short form Jermaine has quickly become one of the most sought-after actors in the film industry. Evidence of this can be seen in the diverse characters he portrays and his ever expanding resume.

Over the years Jermaine has landed roles in some of the most popular films and television shows like:”MacGyver,” “Dynasty” and “Power Book III: Raising Kanan.” Rivers describes his success in the industry as “the result of a slow but steady grind that took more than a decade of hard work, discipline, self-sacrifice and even rejection to accumulate.”

Without a doubt, 2022 has been filled with a number of massive successes for the Atlanta based actor whose career has been on a steady upward trajectory. With news of his recent casting in a recurring role (Charlse Perkins) in season three of Netflix hit series “Sweet Magnolias”, the outlook for 2023  looks extremely promising as well.

Look for Jermaine next year as he takes on  lead and supporting roles in the suspense film “A Party to Die For”  produced by MarVista Entertainment, and the Civil War epic “Freedom’s Path” directed by Brett Smith.  Jermaine Rivers is represented by Play Management and Eris Talent.
